Tracking Feature
The main feature of the Perfect Track system is its ability to track any user around a given area. By sending positional information over to the connected PTZ camera, pan, tilt, and zoom control is handled autonomously.
Background Conditions
Although the Perfect Track relies heavily on foreground conditions, background conditions also play a factor into determining tracking reliability. One portion of the tracking mechanism implemented by the Perfect Track is based on motion tracking. When the system is unable to detect a face it relies on movement to track the position of the last detected face. High contrast, non-uniform, and multi-edged backgrounds tend to provide the least reliability when tracking based solely on motion analysis. Uniform backgrounds provide the best reliability.
Foreground Conditions
Pan, Tilt, Zoom movements are determined by the ability of the Perfect Track to visualize an approximate user to track. In order for this visualization to take place, the system must have an unobstructed view to the tracking subject. Therefore, no person or object must stand between the direct sight of the PTZ camera and person of interest (for an extended period of time) [1-2 seconds].
